In The Reaping Hilary Swank plays Katherine Winter, a former Christian missionary who lost her faith after her family was tragically killed and has since become a world-renowned expert in disproving religious phenomena.

But when she investigates a small Louisiana town that is suffering from what appears to be the Biblical plagues, she realises that science cannot explain what is happening and she must regain her faith to combat the dark forces threatening the community.

Ever wonder what would've happened in the movie "The Wicker Man" if there was no Wicker Man? Well - it'd be called "The Reaping" is what. If you're a fundamentalist Baptist or some other type of evangelical, this is the movie for you - fiercely Christian promoting.
