Bought back memories of being 10 years old and running around the park playing 'ABBA'. The music is still fantastic after all these years and all of us fortyish year olds just wanted to jump up and dance. What a fantastic movie, had me dancing in my seat and singing along quietly of course. Some parts were so close to the bone you would have thought it was about me and my friends. wow... it nearly had me singing in the cinema! Great fun and it had me laughing my head of. The feel-good flick of the year is Mamma Mia!- it had a funny plot and Amanda Seyfield is a very good singer. We had a girls day out and 4 of us saw the movie and we all loved it. It was such a great movie that I have to see it again. Hi! This was a fantastic feel-good movie.Left with grins a mile wide and a sore throat from singing. To answer Tanyar's question: It has adult themes and inuendo and think the occassional sware word. I'm afraid that as i saw it in adult company, I may not have had my "kid-alert" antenae on so you may want to check some sites for suitability. Type in "YMA Movie Review Mamma Mia". This site is terrific. Also "IMDB" (internet movie data base) which has a content advisory section but unfortunately nothing for Mamma Mia. Hope this helps. Loved the movie, but was a bit disappointed with the singing voices - most of the lead actors wouldn't make it through Idol auditions. Having seen the musical 5 times in Sydney, I liked that they made a few different things in the movie. However, I missed the scene with Knowing Me, Knowing You - just the little band playing the tune in the church scene wasn't enough. What a hoot!! I plan to take some other friends next week. The final scene was great. Just loved the guy's outfits. Takes you back!! We started clapping at the end and were joined by the rest of the people. We laughed from beginning to end . Our West Aust paper canned the lead men's singing ... they did a great job for actors who have never proclaimed to be singers.
